Default Carpet Pile

Hi im just about to go and do a bedroom carpet what is the best way to have the pile going in a bedroom?

anybody? help please

i would do it so the pile stand up as you walk in thru the door or if it matches the hallway carpet then its in the same direction as the pile on the stairs

You always lay the carpet so the pile is facing you when you walk through the doorway, this is to ensure that the true colour of the carpet is seen. If you stand so the carpet pile is leaning opposite you you will notice that the carpet will appear alot lighter.

The only exeseption is when you have fitted the same type/colour carpet in a connecting room ie landing then the pile MUST be going the same way otherwise it will show two different shades.
